Thin vertical profiled rods (1) bridge the gaps between vertical edges of individual glass sheets (2). Short top-hat profiles (5) are bolted (6) to damping blocks (7) on the hollow central part (1h) of the profiled rod. The outward-extending flanges (5a) of the short top-hat profiles are bolted or screwed to the individual glass sheets. Adapter strips (3) hold sealing strips (4) which press against the inside surfaces of the individual glass sheets.
