PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for methane fermentation treatment of organic waste realizing a decrease in driving power for agitation a methane fermentation tank and thereby a decrease in running cost for the apparatus. SOLUTION: Organic waste is introduced into one fermentation tank 40a of a plurality of fermentation tanks 40a, 40b to carry out methane fermentation, and the pressures in the fermentation tanks are detected by pressure sensors 50a, 50b to supply the produced gas from the fermentation tank 40a with higher pressure to the fermentation tank 40b with lower pressure through a second pipe 84 to thereby agitate the fermentation tank 40b. Then the produced gas is collected in a gas tank 60 through a first pipe 83b. This procedure is alternately carried out between the fermentation tanks 40a, 40b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
