PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow material for a mound fish bank, exhibiting a high recycling efficiency of shells such as an oyster and friendly to natural environment such as the ocean and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This hollow material is obtained by firmly solidifying concrete 5 by using shells 2 as aggregates formed as a hollow state and not appearing the shells at its surface side substantially. By piling up the concrete 1 as a heap state in the bottom of the sea to form a mound, an upwelling flow is generated artificially and it is possible to increase a base production capacity of the sea area. Also, at the upper side of the mound 22 at a shallow water depth, fishes can grow at the inside of the hollow concrete, and the concrete can be acted as a culturing reef by itself. Further, since the shells 2 are used as the aggregates, various minerals such as calcium are eluted and it is especially suitable for the growth of fishes, and there is almost no bad effect to the environment. |
