A gas cylinder 10 support means comprises at least one cradle 13 or 14, at least one strap 16, and at least one strap tensioning means 17. The strap 16 may permit the securing of the cylinder 10 to the cradle 13 or cradles, 13,14. The cradle itself 13 may further feature holes 19 through which ropes may be passed to secure the cradle 13 and cylinder 10 to, such as, anchoring points within a vehicle. A cradle (13, fig.2) may further feature a lug 21 to which, when the cylinder is upright, a table 23 may be attached, presenting a surface to carry accessories related to normal usage of the cylinder. A cradle 13 may also feature a wheeled arrangement 28 such that the cylinder 10 might be wheeled around by hand, with the cylinder 10 somewhat angled to the horizontal.
