In the present invention, there is described production of a mutant gene AKIII obtained from bacteria of the Escherichia strain, in which feedback inhibition by lysine is well released. The strain producing L-amino acid being better treated if compared with the preceding strains, can be produced by introduction of the indicated gene into the bacteria of Escherichia strain. There is further described a procedure for producing L-amino acid by fermentation, which procedure is more efficient if compared with ordinary procedures that employ the same strain producing L-amino acid. |
