The bearing has a monitoring part (26) to monitor the level of current delivered to electromagnets (12a-12d). The part activates a current source (24) and controls a relay assembly (28) to supply the electromagnet (12b), when the current is less than a preset threshold value related to appearance of a dysfunction of an electromagnet supply regulator (22), while isolating the assembly of other electromagnets from the regulator. An independent claim is also included for a rotating machine. |
