An in the ear hearing aid has a circuit switching it on and off using an impedance sensor to detect an volume dependent electrical load impedance related to a temperature sensor (TS), pressure sensor, acoustic noise level sensor or remote control. Independent claims are included for the procedures used to switch the hearing aid.
