PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric resonator which can constitute a high-frequency filter and also suppress unnecessary vibration other than main vibration and the generation of spurious radiation. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric resonator is equipped with a base body 11 which has a vibration space A, a support film 12 which is formed on the top surface of the base body 11 while covering the vibration space A, and a vibrator 16 constituted by clamping a piezoelectric body 14 between 1st and 2nd electrodes 13 and 15; and a recessed part 19 is formed on the support film 12 and then a>=x, b>=x, and c>=x (excluding a>x and b>x) hold, where (a) is the width of the 1st electrode 13, (b) is the width of the 2nd electrode 15, and (c) is the width of the piezoelectric body 14. |
