<p>The apparatus includes a regenerative reactor (10) containing an oxidation catalyst (12, 18) and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst (13, 17) in between two heat recovery units (11, 19) for supplying the reduction catalyst with heat. An apparatus for purifying an exhaust gas which has been generated by burning fuel and which contains dust and catalyst deactivating material comprises at least one heat recovery device for cooling the gas so that the catalyst deactivating material is precipitated on the dust. A dust separator for removing the dust from the gas is located downstream from the heat recovery device and is followed by a reactor for treating the gas. The reactor contains an oxidation catalyst for oxidizing carbon compounds and an SCR catalyst for reducing nitrogen compounds. The oxidation and SCR catalysts are positioned between two heat recovery units to form a regenerative reactor for supplying the reducing catalyst with heat. An independent claim is also included for an exhaust gas purification process using this apparatus.</p> |
