The invention relates to the medicine, in particular to the thoracic surgery and phtisiosurgery for the surgical treatment of the various forms of lung tuberculosis. The technique comprises the dissection of the parietal pleura lateral to the backbone edge by 2-3 cm along the backbone from the first to the fifth ribs, the displacement of the medial part of the pleura with the fat and the sympathetic trunk towards the mediastinum, and thoracoplasty itself consisting in stage-by-stage resection of the rib segments.
