Arranging roofing tiles in row of alternating pairs - by rotating on one, then turning on edge on both parallel conveyors and sliding together

The unit produces a continuous row (10) of pairs of roofing tiles (1) with their outer surfaces facing one another and alternately rotated through 180 deg. so that their suspension ridges are alternately on one, and on the other side of the row regularly spacing the pairs. The tiles are fed, symmetrically positioned on two parallel conveyors (2, 3), their outer surfaces uppermost. The tiles on one conveyor (3) are rotated (4) about their longitudinal axis to have their outer surface downwards. The tiles on both conveyors are then turned through 90 deg. and placed on their side edges (6), after which they are pushed laterally (7) on to a common conveyor (8) and longitudinally (9) to form the row (10) on that conveyor.
