The proposed three-phase electric machine contains a stator with a ferromagnetic core, a winding, and a rotor. The stator has salient poles. The coils of the stator winding enclose the stator core in the intervals between the poles. The rotor of the machine can be internal or external. The proposed design of the machine provides a possibility to reduce the number of slots for placing the stator winding, provide the uniform distribution of magnetic flux in the machine, increase the efficiency, reduce the weight and overall dimensions of the machine.
