The device has a part (30) embedded around a rod of a switch, and another part (32) receiving a knob of the switch and permitting to control action on the knob. The part (32) receives an indicating unit (34) e.g. label, for indicating a deactivated state of the switch. A hole (36) permits to install a sealing unit when the locking device is installed on the switch. An independent claim is also included for an aircraft comprising a control panel having a switch and a locking device.
