The device has two detectors, where the upper detector (7) is placed in an upper part of a backrest at the level of a shoulder of an infant/passenger and the detector (10) at the level of a pelvis of the infant/passenger. The detectors detect buckling, abnormal buckling, unbuckling and position of a seat belt with respect to a seat and a body of the infant/passenger, and send a warning signal to a driver and passengers or an observer.
