The procedure uses an information system to produce a digital model of a tapestry, employing a memorised image to obtain control parameters for electronic components that operate the actuators of a loom, creating a half-pick (161i) of weft yarns woven on cords (11a' - 11n'). The electronic components provide individual activation of the cord heddles advanced by the pulsed movement of a comb, activate a drive mechanism for the forward loom roller, clutching and releasing the rear roller, and select the colours for the weft yarns. The procedure includes a first stage in which an image with colour-control data is loaded into the information system, e.g. by a scanner, a second stage in which the image is transposed into a digital design, a third one in which the design is converted into weaving parameters, and a fourth stage linking the colour data and weaving parameters. |
