PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a multi-stage stacking press system in which the waiting time is minimized in a multi-stage stacking press, and the production efficiency of the entire multi-stage stacking press system can be enhanced. SOLUTION: A multi-stage stacking press system is controlled so that a work to be pressed is transferred from an in-stocker 4 provided on one side to any one of a plurality of multi-stage stacking presses 3a-3j facing a moving path by a first transfer device 6 moving on the moving path, and, the work pressed by any one of the plurality of multi-stage stacking presses 3a-3j is transferred to an out-stocker 5 on the other side by a second transfer device 7 moving on the same moving path.
