PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immersion nozzle for continuous casting with which the sticking of alumina to between projections is prevented by stably supplying gas from between the projections, thereby the effect disposing the projections can be kept to the complication of casting. SOLUTION: In the immersion nozzle (1) for gas blowing, provided with an inner tube material (8) for gas blowing arranging two or more of projections having 3-15 mm height at a molten steel flowing-hole part in the immersion nozzle, the immersion nozzle for continuous casting is the one, in which the gas can be preferentially blown from the portion having no projection (reference to Fig (4)) between the projections, that is, so as to blow the gas in more quantity at the portion having no projection between the projections than the projection portions.
