PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor laser drive circuit capable of realizing a high-speed and stable modulation response even in an extremely small light volume in the vicinity of the light volume of zero. SOLUTION: In the semiconductor laser drive circuit driving and controlling the semiconductor laser LD by negatively feedbacking the sensed signal of light volume of a semiconductor laser to compare the sensed signal with a light volume command signal, wherein a dual negative feedback loop with a linear circuit 2 outputting a linear driving current to the semiconductor laser LD and non-linear circuits 3, 4 outputting non-linear driving current is configured by inputting a differential signal between the sensed signal of the light volume and the light volume command signal, and the light volume command signal is clipped by a predetermined value, and the clipped signal is added to the middle of the signal paths of the non-linear circuits 3, 4.
