摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch mechanism of a lockup device having four friction surfaces, in which the engaging part of a plate is shortened in the axial direction. SOLUTION: The clutch mechanism 43 of the lockup device 7 is furnished with an impeller 11 not able to make relative rotation and movable in the axial direction, an input plate 46 and a piston 48, a first output plate 45 installed between the impeller 11 and the input plate 46, and a second output plate 47 installed between the input plate 46 and the piston 48. The first output plate 45 and the second output plate 47 have a plurality of first engagement parts 45b and second engagement parts 47b, respectively, to make engagement in such a way as not making relative rotation with each other and movably in the axial direction.
