PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease gun capable of securing a stable changeover for the reciprocative motions of a piston. SOLUTION: Through an aeration hole 34 formed in the piston, the chamber 32 on the counter plunger side in a cylinder 12 is put in communication with the chamber 33 on the plunger side partitioned by the piston 14 on the plunger 15 side. Around the aeration hole 23, a seal member 38 is fitted at the surface of the piston 14 on its counter plunger side. A valve plate 39 having a greater diameter than the seal member 38 is installed capable of contacting with and separating from the seal member 38, and the aeration hole 34 is closed related to the final stage movement of the backward stroke of the piston 14. A changeover plate is installed on the surface of the piston 14 on its plunger side and pressed in the direction that the valve plate 39 is released from the seal member 38 related to the final stage movement of the forward stroke of the piston 14. A valve plate releasing spring 45 is installed on the surface of the piston 14 on its counter plunger side and energized in the direction that the valve plate 39 released from the seal member 38 is maintained. A piston returning spring 46 is installed in the plunger side chamber 33 in the cylinder 12 for pushing back the piston 14 when the valve plate is released to the retreat position.
