<p>Ester mixture obtained by esterification of dicarboxylic acid in the presence of tri- or tetra-carboxylic acid with mono-hydroxy alcohol comprises (a) at least one 9-40C branched alcohol, (b) at least one unbranched 2-20C carboxylic acid with 2-4C carboxyl groups and (c) at least one branched 4-40C dicarboxylic acid. Ester mixture obtained by esterification of dicarboxylic acid in the presence of tri- or tetra-carboxylic acid with mono-hydroxy alcohol comprises (a) at least one 9-40C branched alcohol, (b) at least one unbranched 2-20C carboxylic acid with 2-4C carboxyl groups and (c) at least one branched 4-40C dicarboxylic acid, where the portion of the branched dicarboxylic acids related to the sum of (b) and (c) is 1-30 wt.%. Independent claims are also included for: (1) an ester and/or ester mixture, obtained by esterification of trimethyl adipic acid with mono hydroxyalcohols, where at least more than 80 wt.% are the branched alcohols (preferably at least an alcohol with 9-40C) and other are branched alcohols; and (2) a composition comprising ester/ester mixture, preferably more than 60 (preferably 80) wt.% related to all carbonic acid esters containing in the composition.</p> |
