The three platen assembly includes a fixed platen(10) with rectangular(11) and circular(12) plates with a central hole(13) surrounded by a circular flange(14) with radially extending plates(15,16,17). A moving platen comprises a rectangular plate with cylinders at the corners and two circular plates with a central hole, the second plate having a first set of projections for connecting operating levers on the upper side. An end platen comprises a circular plate with a circular cut-out in the rear surface and second set of projections for operating levers extending from the cut-out periphery. The plates extending radially from the circular flange(14) comprise a first group of two circular plates(15) and a line joining the mid-points of these plates lies at 45[deg] to the horizontal. A second group of circular plates(16) extend from the flange and a line joining their mid-points is horizontal. A rectangular plate(17) extends downwards from the circular flange(14). Each corner of the fixed plate(10) has a cylinder(18) with a guide holes(19) for tiebars. Cylinders with tie bar guide holes are also located at the corners of the moving plate and end plate.
