<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analysis method which enables the objective determination of a degree of fatigue and sleepiness relating to the fatigue from the blink of a person without depending on an individual difference and a circumstantial difference. <P>SOLUTION: A face, particularly the eye of the person is measured to take out the information of an opening and closing situation of the eyelids. A time interval for each cycle of the opening and closing is derived from the information of the opening and closing of the eyelids which is taken out. A DFA (detrended fluctuation analysis) analysis is carried out on the basis of the time interval. The value of the DFA analysis is compared with the prescribed value of typically 0.5 and when it is 0.5 or less, the person is judged to be tired or sleepy. When the person is judged to be tired or sleepy, the person is warned or the environment which surrounds the person is so controlled that the person can drive a car or work without problems. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
