PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool stopper for a small-diameter cutting tool usable both for installation and removal with handling easiness and high safety to solve problems of using a conventional preset ring for installing the small-diameter cutting tool that unfastening work to a screw fixing on a side surface is hard to be done, that the cutting tool itself is likely to be heated when a holding part of the tool holder is heated in removing the cutting tool from the tool holder, and that a worker may be burnt in removing the cutting tool because a removing work zone is close to a heated part. SOLUTION: This tool stopper for a shrinkage-fitted tool holder comprises a sleeve having a through hole to which an outer part including a blade part of a cutting tool is inserted, and at least one slit formed from one end lengthwise, and a clamp ring provided at an end part of the sleeve to press the slit radially inward to fix the cutting tool.
