PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throw-away type cutting tool suitable for machining metal parts, more particularly, small parts such as a bar material of a small diameter and a pipe material, high in working efficiency for attaching/detaching tips and excellent in cost performance. SOLUTION: This throw-away tip 3 is provided with a substantially parallelogram plate like main body 4, a cutting edge 8 formed as an intersecting ridge of a rake face 6 and a front flank 7a along a thickness direction of the main body 4 at an acute angle part 5 of a substantial parallelogram of the main body 4, and a substantially planar clamp part 10 constrained by a holder 2 in the main body part 4 by projecting to form a substantial T-letter shape in upper plane view from a constraint side surface 9b to the holder 2. To make the longitudinal direction of the main body part 4 coincide with the longitudinal direction of the holder 2 at a distal end part of the substantially bar-shaped holder 2 in the throw-away tip 3, the constraint side surface 9b of the main body part 4 is made to abut on a constraint wall surface 17 of the holder 2, and the clamp part 10 is mounted to be constrained at a distal end face of the holder 2.
