PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field radio, such as a cellular phone and a PHS for reducing its performance degradation during calling and close to a human body. SOLUTION: The field radio is provided with a first passive element 12 which is longer than an electrical length of an antenna 11 at a front side case 3 of a first cabinet and a second passive element 13 shorter than the electrical length of the antenna 11 at a rear side case 4 of the first cabinet. According to the arrangement, the field radio has radiation directivity opposite to that of human body, and reduces its performance degradation during calling. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
