PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a processing load of data transmitted from external equipment not to be communicated. SOLUTION: A UPnP processing section 61 acquires device descriptions and service descriptions of electronic apparatuses 4b-4e connected to a LAN 1. In the device descriptions and the service descriptions, attribute information of the electronic apparatuses 4b-4e is described. The UPnP processing section 61 selects any of electronic apparatuses 4b-4e with which an electronic apparatus 4a does not require communication, based on the attribute information and MAC addresses of some of the electronic apparatuses 4b-4e selected on a reject address list 55. If a transmission source address of a received Ethernet(R) frame is present on the reject address list 55, a transmitting/receiving block 52 rejects the Ethernet(R) frame but if it is not present, the Ethernet(R) frame is stored in a hardware buffer 53.
