PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a display device capable of filling a sealing material uniformly and achieving a highly reliable sealing, as well as a sealing material filling device. SOLUTION: The sealing material filling device 100 fills indium on an underlying layer 22 coated in advance near an inner surface peripheral edge part of a front surface substrate 2. The filling device 100 includes a tank 32 storing molten indium, a gear pump 34 evacuating the indium from the tank 32, a filling head 38 equipped with a filling nozzle 42 discharging the indium, and an ultrasonic impression head 44. The ultrasonic impression head 44 is provided separately from the filling head 38, and impresses ultrasonic wave to the indium filled on the underlying layer 22 and the underlying layer 22.
