PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic cartridge which can prevent the generation of edge damage by the impact due to falling. SOLUTION: In the magnetic cartridge 10 in which a magnetic tape T wound around a tape reel 14 is accommodated inside a rectangular cartridge case 11, the cartridge case 11 includes a top plate 12b, a bottom plate 13b parallel to the top plate 12b, and sidewalls 12a and 13a provided so as to reach the periphery part of the bottom plate 13b from the periphery part of the top plate 12b, and a weight member 21 is attached to at least a part of the sidewalls 12a and 13a.
