PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system for accurately and quickly detecting the occurrence of emergency and taking proper measures. SOLUTION: The security system is connected to a portable terminal which has a function of transition to a warning mode for transmitting position information to a security system at preset time intervals using a position detecting function and a crime preventing terminal group which has cameras for monitoring predetermined positions for transmitting monitored images to the security system. The security system has respective functioning means of functions for receiving the position information from the portable terminal whose warning mode is made effective, for selecting a nearby crime preventing terminal in accordance with the received position information, and for outputting a map showing the position information received from the portable terminal and the image from the selected crime preventing terminal.
