PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving device capable of setting the amount of rotating and operating force of a moving member over a wide range including a light side. SOLUTION: Regarding the moving device incorporated in the lens barrel part of a lens unit, a lens frame 5 for holding a lens 1 is driven to move back and forth so as to perform manual focusing driving, and the lens frame 5 is supported freely movably back and forth by an internal driving ring 4 which is rotary-driven when AF-driving, and the internal driving ring 4 is supported by a distance ring 6 through an external driving ring 3 freely rotatably supported by a fixed frame 2 so that the ring 4 can be rotary-driven. An operating ring 7 is fixed on the outer peripheral part of the distance ring 6, and the manual focusing driving is performed with the operation of rotating the operating ring 7. The transducer 35 of an ultrasonic actuator is pressed against the end face of the distance ring 6 through a driving element 39, and by applying the bending standing wave vibration on the transducer 35, a frictional contact force between the distance ring 6 and the driving element 39 is adjusted, and the amount of the rotating and operating force of the operating ring 7 can be increased/decreased over a wide range.
