PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brace unit which easily modifies distortion and inclination of an entire new or old building or a wall surface, a ceiling surface, etc. of the building by mounting the brace unit on the wall surface, the ceiling surface, etc. of the building. SOLUTION: The diagonal brace unit comprises a quadrangular frame body 11 formed by connecting a plurality of vertical shaft members 2 and horizontal shaft members 3 together in a hinged manner, and brace members 5 having turnbuckles 4, the ends of which brace members are fixed to or connected in a hinged manner to the opposite vertical shaft members 2 or the horizontal shaft members 3 of the frame body 11, respectively.
