PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a rock bolt superior in workability and economic efficiency, for sufficiently exhibiting its function, without reducing yield strength possessed by a bolt material. SOLUTION: This rock bolt has a bolt material 2 composed of a bar-shaped steel material such as a reinforcement inserted into the ground, a plate fixing member 4 integrally joined to the head part tip of the bolt material 2 by frictional pressure contact joining, and a bearing plate 3 having a bolt inserting hole 3a for inserting the bolt material 2.
