<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fall down prevention mechanism of a device in which an additional work for pulling out a fall down prevention member after installing the device at a predetermined position is not required and a user has no risk of hooking the leg. <P>SOLUTION: The fall down prevention mechanism comprises a caster 1 urged downward by a spring 2, a fall prevention member 3 fixed to enter/exit a position projecting from a device 100 and a position contained in the device, a spring 4 for moving the fall down prevention member 3 to a position projecting from the containing position, and a mechanism 5 for stopping the fall down prevention member 3 at the containing position.
