<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital photographic printer which has a high-speed and mininum cost image processing capability. <P>SOLUTION: A frame memory inevitably built in a scanner (for realizing its function) is shared with an image processing unit for use as a work area, and a picture processing capability of the image processing unit for printing function is used. Further, an operating unit includes an operating unit body, an input device, such as a keyboard, and a display, such as a CRT. An image processing command is entered at the input device, and the display displays a thinned image sent after a required image process and the commanded picture process are applied in an image processing circuit, or either of the thinned image read out from the frame memory or a simulated image generated by the control unit body from partial image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
