<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring system capable of remotely controlling a home device at a low cost even when a global IP address is changed without the need for receiving a fixed global IP address and DDNS services. <P>SOLUTION: The remote monitoring system includes: the home devices 2 each having the function of transmitting photographed images; and a server apparatus 4 connected to the Internet 7 and with a function of receiving the photographed image from the home device 2 via a telephone line 5 and the Internet 7 and transmitting the image to a mobile terminal 3 via the Internet 7 and the telephone line 5, and each home device 2 transmits an in-house device serial number and status information to the server apparatus 4 at a prescribed interval time pitch and informs the server apparatus 4 about a dynamic global IP address assigned by a DHCP in an ISP 30. The server apparatus 4 manages the home device serial number, the status information, and the dynamic global IP transmitted from the home device 2 and transmits a remote control instruction to the dynamic global IP address. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
