<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a vehicle such as a mini-van having a relatively large vehicle body is recently apt to be preferred, but a dead angle is generated near a front wheel on the front passenger seat side, and much time and an effort are required for recognizing an obstacle in start or the like, thus causing troubles remarkably at night. <P>SOLUTION: This rear-view mirror with a monitoring camera comprises the camera 3 allowing image pick-up with infrared rays inside a housing for storing the rear-view mirror, a light source cover section 2a made of resin for passing the infrared rays in a part of the housing 2, and a plurality of infrared light emitting diodes 4a and a lens cut 7 having a light distribution characteristic of illuminating the photography range of the camera in the inner surface of the light source cover section.
