PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and a method for processing an image data thereof, using a simple structure and processing method, capable of suppressing deterioration of object image data due to dust attached to an optical filter on an optical axis. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 includes an imaging function 10 for photographing an object by means of an imaging device, so as to obtain as image data (object image data); a display function 20 for displaying the photographed object image data and a variety of menus; an image memory 30 for storing and preserving (memorizing) the object image data; an interpolation data memory 40 for storing an image data for interpolation; a control unit 60 for controlling the operation state in each function, based on a control program stored in a system memory 50; and an interpolation function section 70 for performing correction processing of the object image data obtained by the imaging function 10.
