PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-generating device for a vehicle which can effectively charge by a solar cell in response to the state of the vehicle. SOLUTION: At a step 100, it is judged whether there is an IG signal or not. Then at a step 110, it is judged whether a sun visor 5 is in a position for charging where the charge by the solar cell 7 is possible. At a step 120, a motor 13 for driving the sun visor is actuated to move the sun visor 5 to a charging position. Then at a step 130, it is judged whether the sun visor 5 has been moved to the charging position. At a step 140, the motor 13 for driving the sun visor is stopped. On the other hand, at a step 150, it is judged whether the motor 13 for driving the sun visor has been driven for five seconds or not. Then at a step 160, the motor 13 for driving the sun visor is stopped. At a step 170, a warning lamp 29 is lit, and abnormalities are notified. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
