PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of coloring a three dimensional object by which a curved part and a narrow region of the three dimensional object are easily colored. SOLUTION: A movement pass of the three dimensional object or a pigment spray nozzle is set based on the configuration data (S11), the narrow color region whose curvature is large and whose range to be colored is narrow and a wide color region whose curvature is small and whose range to be colored is wide are identified based on the configuration data and color data (S12) and the determined narrow color region and the determined wide color region are colored selectively using the different pigment spray nozzles whose sizes are different from each other while moving the three dimensional object or the pigment spray nozzles along the set movement pass (S13).
