PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve matching accuracy between the color gamut of a color space which can be expressed by input signals and the color gamut of an output device. SOLUTION: A CPU 31 executes a mapping information selecting module 326 and selects the mapping information to be used for mapping processing. The module 326 uses at least any one of the color gamut information of the input device included in an input device profile PF1 and meta-data included in an image file, to select suitable mapping information. The CPU 31 executes the color gamut mapping module 323, to map the color gamut of a color space which an input signal can reproduce into the color gamut of a color space which the output device can reproduce.
