The present invention aims to provide a supplementary retrofit electro-optic module (10) for attachment to a flashlight, so as to facilitate attachment or insertion of a plurality of auxiliary devices to the flashlight thereby extending the functionality of the firearm. The deficiencies of devices disclosed in the prior art are overcome by providing an extension that attaches to an existing conventional flashlight thereby permitting increased capacity and that fits in pre-existing mounts sized for the original flashlight. An axial electrical conductor (43) is provided therein to make electrical connection between the battery (22) in the flashlight body and the devices in the extension body, and between the devices in the extension body and the lamp in the flashlight body (26). A tactical flashlight is obtained with no wasted parts, and which provides the user with the simultaneous use of different accessories.
