The unit (1) can among other, similar purposes be used for joining broken pieces of the meniscus at the knee. It is assembled of a tube (1.1), rigid or flexible, and a trocar (1.2), pointed at the tip (1.2a) and provided with a flanged rear end (1a, 1b). The needle (1.2) is made of a flexible material forming a curve at the front before inserted into the tube (1.1) and after leaving the tube (1.1) at the front resulting in a quick and easy stitching. The material used can be a memory metal or spring steel. |
