An engine (M) has a force of inertia (TM). Torque is transferred from the engine into a gearbox (G) via a clutch (K). In first and second speed increasing ratio trains with respective first (TG1) and second (TG2) inertias and first (SG1) and second (SG2) rigidities, torque is directed onto the gearbox output after each gear change via a transfer mechanism and a third inertia (TG3). Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) A device for detecting a differential angle; (B) and for a device for detecting torque.
