<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a feedback control of engine rotation speed in response to a request by a driver in a configuration in which an engine rotation speed is synchronized at a speed change. <P>SOLUTION: When a brake switch is OFF and an accelerator is fully closed at down shift, the feedback gain is set so as to secure a converge stability to a target rotation speed (synchronous rotation speed) and mitigate speed change shocks.
