<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a point where a user visits frequently as a recommended point. <P>SOLUTION: The navigation system for a vehicle is composed of: a navigation device comprising the present position detection means (2) for detecting the present position of a car, a memory means (3) for storing the history of the engine OFF spots detected by the present position detection means, a control means (5) for reading and outputting the history data of the engine OFF spots stored in the memory means, and a transmission means (6) for transmitting the history data outputted from the control means; and a server (10) equipped with a statistical process means (12) for receiving and statistical processing the history data transmitted from the navigation device for each car.
