<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly achieve a system for transmitting and receiving failure data of a vehicle by taking in a plurality of vehicle manufacturers, in regard to a failure diagnosis service system, a failure diagnosis service method, an onboard device, a failure information providing program, a computer readable recording medium with the failure information providing program recorded thereon, and an information center. <P>SOLUTION: This failure diagnosis service system is provided with the onboard device 10 mounted on the respective vehicles, generating failure information generated in the vehicle in a format different for each of the vehicle manufacturers, and transmitting the generated failure data to the outside; the information center 20 for receiving the failure data transmitted by the onboard device 10 and storing the received failure data in a database 25; and a failure information obtaining device 30 provided in a dealer or a service plant related to the respective vehicle manufactures, and decoding the failure data stored in the information center 10 and corresponding to the vehicle manufacture so as to obtain the failure information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
