<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driving unit which can detect an angular velocity and a rotational angle with accuracy in a full rotational velocity region, using an inaccurate but inexpensive Hall sensor, without using an accurate but expensive resolver. <P>SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a first angular velocity detection means which detects the angular velocity based on the counter electromotive force of a motor in the case of low rotational speed, and a second angular velocity detection means which detects the angular velocity based on a signal from a Hall sensor in the case of high rotational speed, and by using them by making them in a hybrid, the angular velocity and the rotational angle can be detected with accuracy in the full rotational velocity region using the Hall sensor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
