摘要 FIELD: testing engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: device comprises sensitive area whose surface is provided with a number of first and second passages in a staggered order. The surface is sealed at the surface of a structure so that the first and second passages define together with the surface a number of the first and second spaces. The first spaces are connected with the vacuum source through the third passage. The second spaces are in communication with the atmosphere through the fourth passage, opening, and pipe. A high impedance is interposed in series between the source of vacuum and a number of first spaces. The differential pressure gauge is connected in parallel to the high impedance and controls the vacuum in the spaces. When a damage developed in the structure is open and propagates, it communicates adjacent spaces, the pressure in the spaces changes, which is detected by the pressure gauge. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability of detecting defects. ^ 22 cl, 20 dwg
