PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner having an excellent balance in low temperature fixing property and non-offset property, and to provide a binder resin and its manufacturing method to be used for the toner. SOLUTION: The resin composition is a styrene-based binder resin composition for a pulverization toner, the composition containing 0.5 to 25 parts by mass of a fatty acid ester having 70 to 90°C melting point to 100 parts by mass of vinyl monomers. The styrene-based binder resin composition is obtained by polymerizing the vinyl monomers in the presence of the fatty acid ester, and is used as a binder resin composition of the toner.
